CURRENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS OF THE IOWA SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION SOCIETY
- CAREER DEVELOPMENT GRANT FOR MEMBERS, SCHOLARSHIPS FOR HALF OF ANNUAL SWCS CONFERENCE REGISTRATION – APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED ONGOING
It is the policy of the Iowa Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society (SWCS) to only directly fund conferences that the Iowa Chapter is directly involved in the development and formation of the conference and its agenda. The Executive Board reserves the right to consider and act on all requests.
The Iowa Chapter does feel it is very important to support our membership with educational/professional development opportunities. We carry out this goal through many means including our annual conference, area activities, and our summer meeting, to name a few. In addition, the Iowa Chapter will support the development of our members through educational stipends. Our policy is to provide up to $500 per event per member. Members must apply for each event. Payment will be made after successful completion of the event. Members will be required to provide a short summary report for the Chapter newsletter or make a presentation on their experience, at a Chapter event. The Chapter will determine annually the amount of dollars they will have available to support educational stipends.
